GUITAR, VOCALS, HARMONICA

A classically trained pianist, from Springfield, Ohio, Karen grew up listening to her parents boogie woogie, swing and blues records, and trying to emulate what she heard. She spent years on the road in the 80's with touring show bands. Going back to the music she loves, Karen  now plays guitar and harmonica with Mad River blues. Her style is influenced by Johnny Winter, Big Mamma Thornton, Little Walter, Memphis Minnie, and other blues musicians
